Just my ole favorite..HAM SALAD recipe

1/2 pound ham (fully cooked) ground up

6 pickles ( kosher or gherkins) ground up

1 small onion chopped finely

1small sweet pepper chopped up

2 TBSP pickle juice

1TSP mustard

Hellmans mayo add to moist consistency

Mix above ingredients and put in refrigerator for 1/2 hour

Enjoy!

*I love to add some finely chopped pineapple to my Ham salad

Tomato plants from Seeds

Well, I never new how good it makes one feel and how stress relieving it is gardening ...these are my tomato plants I started from seeds!

Can hardly wait for my first tomato's!

I can not believe my luck, so as you all know I was proud of myself for fixing up the squirrel feeder even though I know I shouldn't feed the rascals (But, it keeps them out of the bird feeders)! Needless to say they are loving it, so yesterday as I was out on my porch enjoying the birds and early morning quiet a squirrel jumps from the Palm tree unto the pool screen and falls through right into the pool! Without thinking I jump up to save the rascal as he for some reason isn't swimming but sinking! Normal people would of grab a pool towel, but, know not this impulse thinker, why I race in and grab the rascal before he goes under again and WHOA as I rescue him I am rewarded with him chomping down on my finger as though it was a Palm seed nut! Of course my Maine Coon (Mr.Bentley) is now upon us and wants whatever is attacking his forever human.....I get the squirrel outside and he runs to the brick fence, climbs it and then begins to vocally tell me just what he though for 30 minutes! And how was your Saturday?

My Journey

My Journey begins Sunday April 6th,2014

MONEY IS NOT THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL... THE LOVE OF MONEY IS THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL!

As I enter the next chapter of my life, I decided to write about my success and failures (a bold move for me - no candy coating allowed). I love Zayn Malik's saying " There comes a day when you realize turning the page is the best feeling in the world, because you realize there is so much more to the book then the page your stuck on."

Now that I have entered my 50's, with the loss of my parents, my best forever friend and my youth - I realize that I have wasted a good portion of my life chasing my own self indulgences , but, have learned some valuable lessons along the way. No we can never recapture those times gone by and yes there are definitely things I would of done differently - I would of loved better and forgave instantly for our lives are short. We start the dying process from the minute were born. So TODAY I will start anew and pass it forward and make my DASH worthwhile to myself and the world we live in!
